1 Year Cake Smash Session

I love when my families sign up for the milestone sessions. I have been photographing this family for 2 yrs now the first was with their daughters 1 year cake smash see her session here.

When I did his newborn session we had a baseball theme and carried it out for each milestone session. So of course when I asked mom what she wanted the cakes smash session theme to be baseball was at the top of her list.

For his newborn and sitter session we also used airplanes and this bowl, I love using some of the same props in each session. View his sitter session here

This first photo just cracks me up, his facial expression reminds me of the grandpa in the move UP. Mom wanted a photo with sister in it, she wasn’t to thrilled about getting her photo taking with her brother. 

Just a few photos before we introduce the cake.

We were getting all kinds of expressions from him, honestly he really didn’t know what to think of the cake. 

One of my vendors sent me the little number one so we thought just maybe he would play with it if we stuck it in the cake and he did.

Ok I am done now can we move on. 

Ahh bath noting better than taking a clean baby home after playing with the cake. 

Love the expression in this first image, such a ham.

I think the duck tastes much better than the cake.  Noting like a happy baby in a bubble bath.
